The Chamber's Health Care Committee provides the business perspective on key health care issues. The Committee supports reform efforts that promote shared responsibility for health care financing, expand access to coverage and quality care and create health professional workforce opportunities.
The Southwest Valley Chamber educates southwest valley businesses about health care issues specific to the region that impact bottom lines and workforce productivity. The committee hosts several events designed to raise awareness of the importance of health in the workplace and changes in healthcare options and regulations. In these workshops, businessmen and women can hear directly from hospital executives, industry experts, and wellness professionals. Lastly, the committee examines pertinent health legislation and relays its impact to the business community.
